a white background was a risky decision for lulaland!!!
I wasn't 100% sure about it at first... as it is not what we usually do... you know! we are all about prints and mix and match clothes and backgrounds!!
But, if you want to know the truth... the reason why we did this is because this season, between travels, lockdowns and restrictions, I spent 3 months in a small town outside of Paris, with almost no one around! and among the beautiful experiences found there, I had to find a way to create images for the selling new season... and for you!
So I took my camera and shoot these images... you know, you do what you have to do for your baby!

I love taking photos and I never had the chance to do it for our look books, in reality, I've always been lucky to work with the most talented photographers everywhere I created them (New York, Miami, Mexico...!!)
It came out... pretty well! (tell me what you think!?? hope you like them!!)
Our FW21 is our No.15 MIRAGE collection (yes it is our number 15th collection!!! I can't believe it!)
Usually the name of the collection comes to me after I design it, I do not work with a previous concept, our clothes are pretty timeless and don't follow trends and the main inspiration is always the same: childhood, freedom, playfulness, art and nature (always nature!)
The name is a result of the process, the environment I am designing in... a contemplation of something I feel around me at that moment, something personal or something bigger I sense around... it is a little difficult to explain... it is a creative process! =)
Mirage means an optical illusion, a reflection with a dash of magic... it is an appearance... is what I am seeing real? is it true? or am I just imagining it? what is real, really...? I feel Mirage is about questioning, it invites you to go within...
I feel lately we are living in changing world... it is evolving, transforming.. and many things that we believe are "real" might not be anymore (or were they ever...?)
Mirage it is!
The collection is super cute!! Lovely lovely dresses as always! Ruffled and oversized blouses, retro looking pants, practical jumpers and a new overall, in lovely prints and cozy corduroys (and a gorgeous velvet!). All fabrics (but the lace tulle from our Camila collar) are 100% cotton. Our Iris Bouquet and Black Feathers prints are printed on a mid weight organic, perfect for the new season!
Our new No.15 MIRAGE collection will be online very soon. A little later than we wanted this time again (we were planing to launch it a month ago!)... as everything and everybody is adapting to the ways the world is moving right now... we also have to adjust out expectations and plans...
